Welcome!!

Hello! Welcome to my blog.

My name is David and I live in KAUST in Saudi Arabia!

I have started this blog as a CAS project for school, and my aim is to introduce KAUST to any of you who happened to stumble upon this blog and want to learn more about KAUST. :)

I will be showing you KAUST primarily through Photography, which is a new found hobbie of mine. I may also include some writings too. I'll be capturing different aspects of KAUST, whether it's the academic life, the breathtaking architecture, or life in high school.

At this point, I only have a few shots of KAUST which can be found here:

Most of us have been here a full year now, and we've really come to love KAUST:

Every time I walk into I-65 I pause and wonder when it stopped being a house and started being a home. No artifacts from previous abodes reside there; no latte coloured lilies, no heavy hardbacks written in a language that is difficult to decipher. It doesn’t smell of cranberries and cinnamon. I can’t hear my father telling me to have a good day in the morning or the rustling of the trees. None of the things that were so common to me for the past six years of my life are present here and yet I feel as if I belong. I try to remember when the switch happened, when I started sitting on the floor and taking off my shoes, but I can never identify a time. There was no specific date and were there, I wouldn’t want to know it. All that is important is that it happened. I am accustomed to this place; I am comfortable here.
